Seas of Isolation

The end of the world
Image
At a glance

When was the last time you heard complete silence? Ever seen absolute darkness outside at night? How many times even the idea of going out of the house seems unbearable to you?

Everywhere you look millions of people swarming around the streets, in every corner of your eye you catch a glimpse of advertisements and ‘telling offs’. Cars, trains and airplanes are heard, smelled and seen everywhere. Isolation is not an easy territory to reach, for every space in the world belongs to someone; from institutions including governments and private businesses, to the next angry farmer that kicks you off his premises. Even if you are on vacation somewhere exotic, it is more than likely you will notice a little Coca Cola sign behind the bushes.

In the Seas of Isolation you can experience vast emptiness. Since the Seas of Isolation are international territory there are no rules to be regarded. You will also discover nobody or nothing in particular; no one has his newspaper delivered, no mothers in law calling to ask how you are doing, no strangers knocking on your door and no friends coming over. No skyscrapers stopping your view, no taxi drivers wanting to make a conversation. Well, no taxi’s at all.

There are also no hotels or warm meals and you can stay with your dirty laundry for quite a while. Learning how to build your own igloo and surviving outdoors are skills you will develop fast enough with 'Lovely Planet of How to Disappear in Europe' guidebook when reality bites cold on you.
